Loft Insulation

We can offer the simple service of roof insulation top-up, helping you to reduce CO2 emission, while maintaining your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Needless to say, by ensuring efficient use of energy, reducing the cost of heating and cooling would be another welcome result.

Double / Triple Glazing

Widely recognised as a major cause of heat loss in a building, windows converted by double- or triple-glazing will significantly improve energy efficiency in a building. Doors are another important source of heat loss, and can similarly be satisfactorily converted to much more efficient structures.

We can help by installing new windows and doors, with double- or triple-glazing, along with insulated cavity closers, to help reduce cold bridging and further heat loss.

External Wall Insulation (EWI)

External Wall Insulation is best suited for solid wall construction, and involves insulating the outside of the building with various materials, usually with a rendered finish. The exact choice of EWI varies, depending on the desired levels of energy saving.

Boiler Replacement

Replacing an existing non-condensing boiler with a more efficient one will help reduce CO2 emissions, and will make the heating system more efficient, thus reducing the cost of heating the property.

Air Source & Ground Source Heat Pumps

Although this may sound like a new form of energy efficiency, heat pumps have been used in several countries for quite some time.
Now, they are becoming increasingly popular in the UK, so much so that heat pumps are likely to be routinely used in all new building projects within the next few years.
Air Source Heat Pumps extract heat from air outside the building and releases it inside, while Ground Source Heat Pumps, also known as Geothermal Heat Pumps, absorb heat from the ground and transfer it to the inside of a building. Coupled with solar panels, these innovative systems could potentially deliver free heat and electricity, provided efficient, large enough systems were installed.
